WEBSITE & SEO AUDIT • AUGUST 2026

bluewaterdeepcleaning.com

A plain-English review of what the current website is costing the business, and exactly what it takes to become the first cleaning company people find on Maui.

On Google: searching the business name finds a Kauai competitor instead

The one-minute version

The website is a repurposed template that was never finished. It cannot capture a lead, it tells Google the business is in Sonoma County instead of Maui, and it has zero reviews, photos, or proof. Anyone searching for cleaning on Maui will never find it, and anyone who does land on it has no easy way to become a customer. Every one of these problems is fixable, most of them within a day.

🚨 Losing customers right now

These are not cosmetic. Each one is a hole leads fall through today.

CRITICAL

The contact form was deleted, not replaced

The page says "Let's Schedule Your Cleaning!" but the form underneath was commented out in the code and never rebuilt. What's left is an empty form holding only a crew photo. There is literally no way to request a quote on this website. Every button just opens a popup that says "call us."

CRITICAL

The email links are broken

Both "Email us" links have a typo in the code, so clicking them opens a blank email with no address filled in. A customer who taps it, sees an empty email, and gives up is a lost job.

CRITICAL

Google is told this is a Sonoma County business

The page title, the single most important SEO signal, reads "Deep Cleaning, Disinfecting & Sanitization in Sonoma County." The word Maui appears exactly once on the whole page. For Maui searches, Google has essentially no reason to show this site.

CRITICAL

Searching the business name finds a competitor

Googling "Blue Water cleaning Hawaii" surfaces Blue Water Carpet Cleaning on Kauai, with photos, Yelp reviews, and a full website. This site doesn't appear at all. Referrals who go looking are landing on someone else's phone number.

CRITICAL

No Google Business Profile presence found

For a local service business, the Google map pack (the top 3 businesses with stars that show for "carpet cleaning near me") is where most calls come from. No claimed, review-filled profile was found connected to this site. This is the single biggest missed source of free leads.

⚠️ Killing trust and rankings

MAJOR

Leftover content from a car dealership template

The site is a reused marketing template, and the old content is still in the code: headlines about "helping Dealers convert more leads to car sales" and testimonials for a tax company and a baseball club. Anyone (or any search engine) reading the source sees an unfinished template.

MAJOR

Zero reviews, zero proof, zero pricing signals

No testimonials, no star ratings, no before-and-after photos, no service area list, no "about us." Cleaning is a trust purchase; the site gives a visitor nothing to trust.

MAJOR

Basic SEO plumbing is missing or broken

The meta description (the text under the Google link) is literally a blank space. There's no robots.txt file, and the sitemap sent to Google lists a phone number and a piece of JavaScript code as "pages." No local business schema markup, which is how Google confirms a business's location and services.

MAJOR

Typos and broken links a customer will notice

"Infoor environment" (twice), misspelled image names, service links that reload the page instead of doing anything, every "Learn More" button opening the same carpet popup regardless of which service you clicked, and a footer copyright frozen at 2022.

MAJOR

A Gmail address as the business email

bwcs.tm@gmail.com works, but service@bluewaterdeepcleaning.com costs a few dollars a month and immediately reads as an established company. The domain is already owned; it's just not being used.

✅ The fix: what "go-to on Maui" actually takes

Week one (biggest impact, mostly free)

  1. Claim and build out a Google Business Profile for Maui: photos, services, hours, service area. Then ask every happy customer for a review. This alone drives more calls than the website.
  2. Replace the site with the rebuilt version (already done, see the demo): Maui-first headline, working quote form, tap-to-call everywhere, reviews section, service area list, FAQ.
  3. Fix the SEO basics: a Maui-focused title, a real meta description, local business schema, clean sitemap, robots.txt. All included in the rebuild.

Month one

  1. Collect 10+ Google reviews and feature the best three on the site with names and towns.
  2. Add real photos: the crew, before-and-after floor shots. Phone photos are fine; stock photos are not.
  3. Switch to a domain email (service@bluewaterdeepcleaning.com) and put the business address or at least "Kahului, HI" on the site so Google can anchor it to Maui.
  4. One page per service ("Carpet Cleaning Maui", "Tile & Grout Cleaning Maui") so each search has a page built to win it.
Why this works: for a Maui cleaning company, "the easiest quick find on Google" is won in two places: the Google map pack (driven by the Business Profile and reviews) and the regular results (driven by a Maui-focused site with service pages). The current site competes in neither. The rebuilt one competes in both from day one.
